Meet Our Instructors
Terry Henderson (6th Dan Black Belt)
Sensei Terry is no new comer to the art of Karate and has been training for some 30 plus years now, of which the majority of those years have been spent as Chief Instructor for Skin-Gi-Tai Shotokan Karate Gravesend.
Gurpreet Singh Kandola (4th Dan Black Belt)
Sensei Gurr has been with the club since 2000, obtaining his 1st Dan in 2007, followed by his 2nd Dan in 2011 and 3rd Dan in 2016 through Sensei Terry. Sensei Gurr is a very experienced instructor and No 2 to Sensei Terry. Sensei Gurr also runs his own Dojo at Ebbsfleet with great success and was awarded his 4th Dan in 2024
Paul Alexander (3rd Dan Black Belt)
Sensei Paul joined the club in 2002 having previously trained with Thames Karate association and obtained his 1st Dan in 2004 through Sensei Terry. After having a break for several years he returned, obtaining his 2nd Dan in April 2016. Sensei Paul has become a valuable member of the team, and an instructor that is very particular to detail! Paul was awarded his 3rd Dan in 2024.
Bob Haisman (2nd Dan Black Belt)
Sensei Bob joined the club in 2011, having previously trained in wado ryu. Sensei Bob obtained his 1st Dan 2019, completing his instructors course in 2022. A no nonsense instructor and a valuable member of the team, Sensei Bob was awarded his 2nd Dan in 2024
Jayden Whatley (2nd Dan Black Belt)
Sensei Jayden, the youngest member of the team, and a trainee instructor at just 18, joined the club from a previous Shotokan association in 2019. Sensei Jayden obtained his 1st Dan in 2022. A young man with a load of potential, Sensei Jayden was awarded his 2nd Dan in 2024 which shows his dedication to the cause
